ASSESSMENT AND FEEDBACK SEMINAR 4 – Unconventional Assessments
The next Academic Practice Network Seminar for the 2014-2015 series is taking place on Tuesday 17th March 2015, led by Dr Nicky King, a Senior Lecturer in Biosciences.
Tuesday 17th March 2015: 13.00 – 14.00
Streatham, Building One: Bateman, with video conference link to Penryn, Tremough House: Meeting Room
With rising student numbers, shorter turnaround times for marking, higher expectations of feedback and an increased emphasis on ‘real world’ skills, assessment is becoming ever more challenging for academics. In this seminar, Dr Nicky King will outline some of the more unusual forms of assessment in her modules, and innovations being made through the new Natural Sciences programmes, and hope to open a discussion with colleagues in other disciplines so we can learn from each other’s ideas and experiences.
Everyone welcome, no need to book! Please ensure you are on the lookout for the 2014-2015 seminar programme.
